Infamy confusion

So you earn 2 infamy every 5 minutes.


The equivalent of .4 infamy a minute, or 1 infamy every 2.5 minutes. What surprised me was how long it would take to rank up.

To become a Rookie clan it would take about 8.3 hours of holding an island.
To become an Average clan it would take about 41.5 hours of holding an island.
To become a Strong clan it would take about 8.5 days of holding an island.
To become a Superior clan it would take about 26 days of holding an island.
To become a Powerful clan it would take about 2.5 weeks of holding an island.
To become a Supreme clan it would take about 5 weeks of holding an island.
To become a Legendary clan it would take about 2.3 months of holding an island.

Is it just me or is this weird, or am I wrong?

I’m probably being dumb, I do that a lot, these numbers seem wayyy to high.

different islands give different infamy counts id assume

clans are designed around multiple people, this is probably designed with the idea in mind that multiple players in a clan would be holding islands

still would take long, but not as long

That’s exactly 69 days straight bet

consider that with 70 clan members, it would only take 24 hours to become a legendary clan if they all held separate islands. (across different servers obviously)

I wonder how infamy loss is going to work since that doesn’t seem like very much for particularly well known clans.

You can get more infamy at different islands probably it would be likely if its like 5 on another

You lose 2 infamy if you’re killed on a capturable island, or 6 if killed by the leader

As said in the trello, you can earn up to 4 infamy every 5 minutes from larger islands, and 3 infamy every 5 minutes from smaller islands, so there’s an incentive to fight over the larger ones. Not only this, but you’re judging it based off of a singular captured islands. Clans contain many players… that’s what a clan is.

so basically, capture the island, leave the island, and use naval combat to not only guard the island but also ensure you don’t lose infamy if you lose.

finally, an actual reason to use cannons.

They should really rename AR infamy to virginity

you can still kill for infamy if they’re on a capturable island

No you can’t, that doesn’t give you any infamy, just removes some of theirs
