It’s national poetry day over here in the UK so I decided to write a funny poem. I’ve never written a poem before
Into the Sea of Darkness - A poem by Randomness
Golden Ichor within my veins,
The Sword forged in the Furnace’s Flames,
Bounded strong by Winds untamed,
Towards the looming sea of darkness.
My hands dirty with the guilt of Regicide,
I split the nation, cast the poor Prince aside,
And every time I look into their people’s eyes,
I see their distraught ignorance.
The voices of these women, shadows and beasts all around me,
It’s in my mind, my thoughts, this blood cannot be,
Tearing my soul apart.
I haven’t the heart to fight my fate,
Lightning still over that grave as of late.
Yet the God of the Sea, the God of this place,
It said that they’d all speak my name.
