This is partially why I don’t feel like I want to be a savant. However, as a mage, there are a few moves I like from fighting styles (shot, crash) and weapons (mirrored river)
Ao’s combat could use some diverse tactical combat forsure. Ill ask Vetex myself if he has anything planned. Probably after the update he might be overwelmed rn, prolly not but just incase.
also I feel like the projectile moves are unique enough
like, primal swipe is a very good close range tool, axe throw has arc physics, flying phoenix pierces through walls, etc.
same with the damaging mobility moves
and what can you really do with mobility grabs other than completely rework them from the ground up
For me I just go with whatever I feel like
If I like something, nothing can change how I feel about that
For example, just because someone who is a music expert doesn’t really vibe with a specific song doesn’t invalidate the opinions of people who like that song
I want more playstyles or idk sub-classes in the game, maybe a defensive mage with spells that is more repeal and counters, a healer Warden (I’m still calling it Warden because Oracle sound ass), or even yet a full gun warrior
we’re still pretty early game, so most skills are pretty basic
but there are still a couple of more unique skills, which are usually the rare spells and techniques . (like uppercut, it’s unique in that it barely even works)
We will probably get more unique and complicated stuff later in the game
Like I know in terms of progression it’s still very early but with the exception of selino, rare techniques just don’t feel deserving of being completely separate skills in my opinion
