I’m a super big fan of making a guild/clan in general, but I’m just not a pvp guy. I’m sorry, it’s not for me, I don’t enjoy pvp, I hate it even more when people try to force you into it by jumping you, and I hate that such behavior is warranted and encouraged as the chief interactions between guilds in order to grow your infamy. The reason I made a guild on WOM was to gather together people for goofy events like fishing competitions and boss hunts (Ever seen Minotaur with 24000 health?). It just wasn’t doing anything for us, our guild couldn’t ‘grow’ in any way and I haven’t really seen anything on the AO trello to address this.
I know the chief concern of every guild enjoyer is that PVE friendly options will dumb down/nueter the guild-v-guild interactions. I’m not asking to be given a handout every time I catch a fish, but I just want to know I’m not the only one who thinks there should be a bit more to Guilds? If not can we at least get a PVE alternative to the standard clans that farms infamy in different ways entirely?
the closest thing to non player interaction in terms of infamy is turning in sealed chests which now give infamy, but apart from that there is basically nothing, if there were a PvE alternative farming infamy would be much much easier
yeah me too honestly. it’s not really that big a deal. i’m i think it’s plenty enough to just be in a guild but yeah having actual stuff to do outside of pvp would be cool.
(weird that clans don’t really have anything PvE even though AO is pretty PvE in general)
Won’t become a top guild but I think it would be a solid pve club for people who play casually
Instead of “you have to bring X combat skills and pass our cringey pvp combat test to join” maybe you only need to have a lv120 rival (so the bounty board has a higher chance of getting good shit) and be able to get a certain distance into dark sea
Stuff pve guild can do
Monopolize the bounty board by having a one positive rep crew hunt the bounties and one negative crew break them out. Profits split 50/50
dark sea raids
everybody gets on the same boat (is that possible) and beats the shit out of every NPC boats in sight, end up with a deck absolutely filthy with sealed chests
in the future pve guild can go into the second sea way under leveled and take the hardest bounty and then co op kill him
BROOOOOOOO, i was thinking the same thing, i’m not much of a pvp person but pve is a different story. When i make my own guild i plan on making it more of for fun rather then pvp like most guild
