Is it worth it to enchant a sunken sword?

I mean, if i get a strong one, thats a W, but otherwise the value might drop in trading

So im kinda stuck thinking

Well when you think about it, there’s a 1/3 chance of you getting a good enchant, but also a 2/3 chance of getting something bad. By getting strong it’ll rise but with anything else it will definitely decrease the value by a lot. If you keep it clean, the value will still be high. Then again, most people will buy badly enchanted sunken swords since they just want to show off their cool sword and that they don’t have enough things to trade for a clean or strong sunken sword.

In conclusion, I love to take risks so take the gamble. Even if it’s a bad enchant you’ll still get stuff anyways so yeah ;-;

Oh ok

Bad idea because by then we will have better weapons and level cap for sunken is 100 most likely, and enchant scrolls will devalue strong sunken sword.

tbh level cap for sunken should be like 150 or 200, its still a very rare weapon, weapon skills as well

Also, in the future there will probably be enchant REMOVING Scrolls anyways, so ay

it doesnt matter, because no matter how many weapons are introduced, the sunken will still maintain its current fishing drop chance. Sure it could be outclassed by newer weapons but it still keeps its rarity and it can be used as a bargain in case you wanna trade for something else

Less level, other better weapons, and a lot more strong sunken sword because of enchant scrolls lowers demand, which lowers value

I say again, the sunken sword itself will remain as rare as it is now. The enchanted versions may worth less, but youre still gonna have to sit on your ass for hours a day with a magnetic collector rod waiting for that 0.02% chance to actually get the sword. I may not know what weapons would be introduced in the future but I can tell you 0.02% chance is gonna be rarer than at least 80% of new weapons.

It may be powercrept to the point that it turns into a collector’s piece, but that doesn’t mean it’s a common item that everyone can get their hands on with a few days of grinding.

But it’s much less time consuming, you have to look at time when you’re looking at drop odds and it’s much easier to get a sunken than something like full hard Minotaur gear even though the chance of getting full hard Minotaur gear would only be around 1/1200 compared to 1/8000

I got hard too, this was my reaction:

hopefully you didn’t get hard in the other way

or did you?

rarity doesn’t equal value. There are more clean sunken swords out there than forceful sunken helmets, but which is worth more? If you want value trade away your sunken sometime before the next level cap raise after AO

First of all, I dont think Vetex is gonna jump directly onto adding fresh new OP loot once AO is released, so I dont really have anything to trade my clean sunken sword WITH that will be useful in the future.

Second of all, I say for the THIRD time that I am talking about raw drop chance obtained from fishing, leave fucking enchanting out of this. All sunken items have the identical drop chance, and the only reason that Forceful Sunkens are rarer than Sunken Swords is because it has a shitty enchantment that nobody wants and theres a 1/8 chance of getting said enchantment. You couldve gone for the same argument using Powerful or Bursting.

Third of all, I never explicitly stated that value directly depends on the rarity. Obviously, you have a better chance of getting wizard robes from chests than you have getting a sunken from a pond. I am referring to just a general hierarchy of items (similar to how there’s no set price for them in the marketplace, its one of the flaws of a bartering system).

For a sunken sword to be COMPLETELY outclassed, a new weapon should be easier to obtain and do what the sunken does or better.

We should probably stop arguing before this topic gets closed
