idk if knight is worth it considering i have nothing but imbues rn
also is this an alright build (might have to look for sunken warrior).
Seems good enough 2 me, though your stats do seem a little spread out, cut size and haste out, dexterity and range if you can’t balance them with your defense, regen, and power
Dunno why you need drawback
Knight is pretty good, but you really do need to know what you’re doing. It might slightly depend on your stat alignment; personally I went for 160 Spirit as you get a lot more from the weapons investment, but thats mainly because I ran Ember Staff and Charred Grease, and could offshoot Swordstep into the Patrimony.
Other than that, you could find some other Relics as to get better synergies via Greasing, or could get them for their imbuement stats (Staff of Night and Ember Staff have altered stats that pure 1.0’s I believe Crystal Orb does too).
The final thing of note is your stats are quite frayed in a way that doesn’t seem intentional. You’ve gone for all power scrolls, yet the substats on your gear don’t align with a secondary stat aside from that. Personally, focus on one of the other substats (notably Size, Dexterity, or Regen), and drop some of the random values. If all of your substats had gone into one thing— you’d have 239 points in one substat; obviously less when you get actual gear, but still notable.
For your build, it’s usually best if you go for power, defense and 1 or 2 substats.
Having it spread out like this affects everything a little bit, but too less to make much of a difference.
vattrachos cape is so free with this lifesteal.
how about the innate substats? kraken band got innate range so i just ignore it?
Im currently working on a knight build and how much power, defense, regen should i aim for? Would adding drawback to the mix be worth it?
Knight is pretty interesting to build because it’s got a lot of freedom due to weapons. Again, i would probably recommend 160 Sp / 180 Wep, but you could hang it and get a lot more weapon skills with a 140 Sp / 210 Wep— This mostly depends on whether or not you need Ember Staff’s fire imbuement VS getting more skills.
The power you need basically ends up being a calculation of how much You can synergize for free, you can give or take from there as Weapons deal a surprising amount of damage. The margins for imbuement range for: Patrimony for 0; Tidestone for 20; Staff of Night for 40; and Crystal Orb / Ember Staff for 160. Patrimony and Ember Staff are notable for this since Lightning and Fire have actual Synergies that can trigger the Grease effects.
As for Defense and Regen? Go for as much as you need lmao. Regen is absurd, especially since Spirit imbue gives you like 80 of it for free. I’ve got like 130 Regen (not counting imbue), and I’m healing like 50 Health from every ability— you’re healing enough to cancel most amounts of drawback actually. I would honestly prioritize Def and Regen over Power due to Regen only accounting for Damage without it.
If you go for higher defence, definetly go for Regen alongside imo: they scale really well together, letting you be immortal; just make sure your drawback costs less than you get from landing a hit.
If you go for higher power, then make sure your synergies are in check, and then you can split def and power on the sides.
It’s actually pretty easy to get a good combo of Def/Power/Regen + another substat like Dexterity or Size; so you could focus Power and that Substat, then gain Regen/Defence; Mostly if you have good Oracle Gear / Envoy sets.
So what weapon skills would I have access to? Could I use dragons song?
So if one of the main weapons I plan on using is the staff of night skills how much power should I get?
How much would be an ideal amount for both plus the max drawback I could add to it?
At 160-SP / 190-Wep, you’re able to use dragons song— I will note you need either Kai’s sabre or Sunken Sword to get Dragons song, I believe you need to put it in the first slot too (I have it there, and its 190 Cost). As per usual, Weapon skills depends on the weapon quality and its level, Good Quality Boss drops are basically your best friend in terms of this; I would not know all of this by head, and I’m too lazy to check (sorry).
As a shorthand (190 Wep):
- Level 50 Weapons can use level 30 weapon Ults.
- You can at most use 120 cost skills, usually on the earlier slots.
- Most other costs lower than 90 are easy enough to get.
Staff of Night has a slightly lower power (0.9), so it mildly depends on your enchantment— It also won’t utilize synergies since its shadow magic. I run about 130 Power, and my Staff of Night consistently deals around 300~ Damage (I use Dense on everything). As for skills, it depends on how much Spirit you go for, i would recomend using cheaper skills on higher level weapons; like the patrimony should always have the highest cost skills.
I know Relics are pretty damn expensive right now, like every unique skill aside from Thakrousi and Astrapikis is pretty hard to get. I think Nichtetheis (Night Beam) is obtainable, albeit at ~190 spirit.
I think every bit of drawback is like 20 Damage? If you’re primarily using your weapons, you’ll get ~80 (10%) free regen, and that automatically covers one drawback. Basically, every drawback, try to have around 80 regen over it. Aside from that, manage your Defense gained from the Drawback + Regen. I don’t run Drawback, but I’ve always hanged my defense a bit low (old habit from Vitality), but I’ve got for at least 300 Defense as to get more room between my Regen.
Sorry for asking so many questions but knight is not a class I’m familiar with.
Is the move actually worth it though is the real question?
If you don’t mind showing me your knight build id greatly appreciate it
Personally, I love dragon song; it combos really well into most other move: Spirit rain, Devastate, basically any projectile, and obviously the other AOE skills like Spirit Burst.
I don’t have time to get on AO rn, but I’ll reply with a bunch of other images later. But yeah, the questions are fine— Knight is probably the next most complicated build (after Savant), it’s also got the second most skills/tools of any class (6) + this does stay on topic, and might help future Knight mains
.
That’s fucking great to hear can’t wait to make my build use it
Basically everything on my build right now— I’d probably change some things, but it works fine for me rn (do note that all my weapons are Petrify Greased).
I fucked up turns out it was dragons flurry I wanted
yikes, I know that one is expensive— I think it might be possible with 60% weapons investment (210), but yeah thats a rough mistake… At least Acrimonies have gone down in price?
i mean is i even possible to get if i went 220 wep 130 spirit?
oh… no. There also isn’t a weapon that can hold the Good quality and be level 40. You’d either need Warlord (if they’ve got an applicable sword variant) or Warrior to get this.. until next story update, which might be a good bit.
