Is lightning magic good for mages?

I was using lightning magic as mage since the early acces was opened and until now i am not really sure if it was a good choice, do you guys think it needs nerfs or buffs, and if yes what is the reason u think so?

its one of the best, because fast magics are much stronger than other ones rn due to the attack speed changes

3 factors go into a good magic, and clearly this is a good one since 10% of the player base use it

Synergy, Stats, and CYUIU

Synergy for electricity is decent, with water being the main and biggest one (Though due to its unique properties of synergizing with heat and cold-based magic, you’re in a particular position to go both. Both burning DOTs and frozen will make you deal more damage, so the synergy is terrific!

Its stats are good too, with speed being the main one. It’s fast and therefore easy to hit, making it excellent for zoning. Just use a speed aura, and dash away from the enemy while shooting at them from afar.

Now, you may be asking what CYUIU stands for. It stands for…

CAN YOU USE IT UNDERWATER?

The answer is yes. Along with that, there’s water everywhere making soaking enemies a peace of cake. This means anything taking a lil dip underwater will take an additional 20% damage from you!

I see, i am not really sure if my math is going well but from my calculations i do 10% more damage when opponent is soaked and not the 20% ( my blast does 223 dmg without soak and 245 dmg with soak ), as for the freezed synergy i dont think its possible without water magic.

mage get second magic no?
just use gel for the 2nd effect

Imo lightning is one of the worst magics, this doesn’t mean it’s “bad”. It can be good, but only if you got water or sand for the 20% extra damage. It’s got speed and with the synergy it’s got good enough damage, it’s AOE is okay but that’s fine. For context I’ve played 2 lightning accounts, one warlock with sailor and one mage with water 2nd magic.

Trello damage boosts are outdated and yes soaked is just a 10% boost

Eh, I’m not a big fan. My first slot ever was a lightning mage, but I ended up turning it into a warlock with sailor. When I think of mage, I think of big, very impactful magic. And while lightning is somewhat strong, the thing that puts me off of it as a mage is the size of it’s explosion spells. Those things are tiny as shit man. When I wanna be a mage, I want my ult art to cover a large area, not the same square footage of my kitchen. But if you can look past that, yeah! It’s pretty decent for mage I think!

yes, even more if its paired

Good synergies and speed. Pretty good if you have aim.
