I mean it’s not even inflation, it’s just that people have tons of alts with max crowns. If he’s really removing instant crown codes, there’s no way he won’t wipe crowns from everyone.

Imagine if vetex didn’t put a cap and allowed to have as much money as in AA but not the same worth.
People would have like 2 million galleons if he didn’t wipe them and would be set for life
Last I heard, crowns will be converted to galleons. Unless vetex wipes inventories, I’d be very surprised if he wipes crowns.
Sure, lots of people have 5k crowns and alts with 5k crowns. But they also have tens or hundreds of thousands of crowns worth of junk items in their inventories.
If crowns are wiped, people will just kickstart themselves by selling a few hundred mercenary jackets or something. Sure, the conversion rate isn’t great, but they’ll still be more than capable of buying everything they want and the economy is still going to be hyperinflated on release.
Even disregarding that, whether or not players are bringing 5k galleons with them on release day isn’t going to make a difference in the long term. People will spend their starting galleons fairly quickly - the players with 50k banked up are also the players who play the most and will burn through it fastest.
The fix to currency being worthless is better economy design, not wiping everyone and hoping it works out better.
