The fight style mentor (Caria) said that she’s accidentally “discover” it by drinking seawater, and she just call it “Sailor Style”.
Something interesting to point out about this fightstyle is that it was created by the mentor themselves, rather than someone teaches them (Cannon Fist is kinda debatable since the mentor didn’t stated that who teach them, So CF is probably have different names like SS)
The question is that does she’s actually the first person to create it (or discovered idk), there’s quite handful of fightable npcs with Sailor Style, so it indicate that their mentor is Caria, or they just accidentally it, or they learned from different mentor and goes by different name like “Wet Hands” “Ocean Fist” or some generic stuff
Conclusion: you can call Sailor Style with different name, cuz Caria probably not the first person to discovered it after all
