So one of Arthur’s curses was the energy curse which provides infinite energy and stamina im confused what type of curse it is because he got it the same time as his other elemental curses but it has an unusual nature which is pretty much means it’s an experimental curse anyone know?
It’s been stated by Vetex that the Energy Curse is elemental.
I don’t know how to explain it (neither do I have the image of him saying it) but there you have it, it was previously an experimental curse just so you know.
Bit odd but there is a wave magic & curse which drains energy so it’s not too hard to believe there’s is both an energy curse & magic which provides energy
Vetex has decided to make literally everything into magic for some reason
The ability to have the ocean avoid you, so you physically cannot succumb to your weakness? Yeah it’s water curse now.
The ability to feel shockwaves and presences around you more easily? Yeah it’s a magic now.
The ability to never run out of energy or stamina? Yeah it’s a magic now.
Can’t wait to get Lazarus magic, each time you kill someone, they have a chance to heal up fully and get a permanent stat boost
Was it ever actually stated to be experimental? Like I had figured that just as much as everyone else until being shown otherwise, but there even an old concept of Cursebeard fighting showing him using the energy curse to like shoot lasers. Something that’s a lot more similar to the elemental curse than it is experimental.
Lazarus, Absorption, and Nirvana are all explicitly Experimental, and I doubt that would change anytime soon. They’re too intrinsically linked as of current.
So long as a curse can do something like shoot a projectile, which a concept of a Cursebeard fight Vetex made a while back showed him using the energy to do just that, it’s probably an elemental curse. They can still have unique abilities it’s just that unlike experimental ones they can still become their magic and typical the experimental’s ability is far more extreme than that of an elemental curses.
Like compare wave which just drains energy to absorption which out right can steal people’s magic. Like one of these is a vastly more insane ability. That isn’t to say someone with wave couldn’t be extremely powerful, enough so that they could rival someone with the absorption curse, but between the powers themselves absorption is much more extreme when it comes to it’s abilities.
The fuck is Nirvana?
Okay it’s kinda important so I want to ask ahead of time if you’re okay with getting spoiled on it
It has kinda made its rounds on the forums, but me personally I think it’s something that would’ve better off kept secret til its mentioned in the game, so if you’re actually interested in the story of the game you might be better off not knowing.
Yeah give me more material to find plot holes
So, the hell is nirvana curse?
Every time Nirvana Curse or Merlin are mentioned, somebody has to be like “wtf is that”, and I understand, because I used to the be the one asking.
As far as I can tell there’s no plot hole here. Anyways it was the first curse ever made so it doesn’t come with immortality the others do. It does however give vast amounts of knowledge and precise control over magic to the user. As far as I’m aware there’s not really anything that contradicts this. We know the gods were making experimental curses before the elemental curses were made and one of them would obviously have to be the first. I guess there’s the fact that it’s called a curse despite not having the immortality that makes other things curses, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t called that until curses as whole started getting called that and then cause it functioned similarly with being a cube that grants power it just gets lumped in. I dunno none of it seems all that crazy or something that you can’t logic out with very few if more than one steps.
immortality is not a curse
“bwut i’m gonna outlive all my luved ones!” They have a tool for that, it’s called “give them sea curses”, Wotan did it!
What’s that, you’ve lived a full life and are content with dying? Then die.
Years of infinite lifespan, yet no direct correlation to it being a curse.
I mean limited supply here not everyone can go for the Wotan solution. Also a lot of people even if they’re sad about out living their loved ones probably don’t want to kill themselves. Especially since not a lot of things can kill them in one shot so it’d probably hurt a bit to do it. The easiest way which probably still hurt a lot didn’t come around til like 800 years after most of the curses were made and at that point there’s a whole other reason to call them curses.
perhaps the literal ocean?
You also have to consider that curses in the war seas also meant that if you werent with a kingdom you were dead
Find your favorite kingdom and join up then.
wth are you doing here?-
It was always the water curse, curses let you completely manipulate its respective element so of curse the water curse lets you move water around
idk what you were tryna cook there
