Is there a place to report translation errors?

Title.

Trust me, it is very funny to have Schroeder: The Big, but i feel like “the grand” would be much better translated as “el magnifico” or “el grandioso”

Is it even possible to correct Roblox-provided translations?

yes, you can provide manual translations in studio and in the creator hub

i dont think translation has big priority right now
just thinking about it makes sense why
its not yet a good time and resources investment to make more accurate translations yet, while there’s other stuff that can be as good if not better than making manual translations
just not enough demand and interest, thats what i think

Schroeder’s size—he is simultaneously both big and grand up until the game is properly translated.

i mean technically yes but itd be hella weird to correct a single random deckhand title manually when… literally not a single other word of the game is translated

A surprisingly large chunk of the game is translated, although it is automatic translation.

well yeah but literally everything can be automatically translated unless it uses weird non compatible text systems. not a reason to start manually fixing minor nitpicks one by one when translation isnt even a part of the game.
the only reason most of the game is translated by technicality, is that roblox simply does it automatically in every game.

then why not have people submit translation changes? this would help improve the quality of the game for non-english speakers

Because nobody would add them in the game, still takes time. They’re automatic translations, they’re wrong most of the time, especially with languages wildly different from English.

I mean, if we wanted the game to have good translations (in multiple languages might I add, not just yours), then we wouldn’t just base ourselves on constantly shifting automatic translations by roblox, while occasionally forcefully coding in some nitpick corrections manually. It’s not reliable, it’s not well made, it’s way too many tiny changes. At this point might as well do the entire thing manually in huge blocks if we want something good (which won’t happen because, again, we’re not allocating time to that), as there’ll always be things to fix otherwise.

Like even typo corrections in dialogues usually take time to add and get fixed in bunches, and that’s JUST English. Imagine having to do that for like a dozen popular languages, constantly, for minor nitpicks that usually get the message across anyway, to slightly benefit a minority of people, in a Roblox RPG game with a tiny team.
