For some reason the fps unlocker only gives me 60-65 fps max and it does literally nothing for me. If I try going on even half graphics it dips to 35, and I already did all the windows settings tricks and everything and still no difference really
Recommendations?
(If you’re curious this is what full graphics looks like)
if the unlocker doesn’t raise your fps drastically then:
A) game is just badly optimized (like wom)
B) you might’ve limited how much higher the unlocker could go
C) your computer is just bad
all the fps unlocker does is remove the cap of 60 fps and maybe do some tinkering around v-sync and the like. it’s not a “performance” booster like you’d think optifine, sodium, etc. would do on mc for example. just does one function which is remove the cap and the rest is left up to your device.
maybe theres something with your monitor, when i first got mine it was locked to 140hz on accident and locked the unlocker to 140fps. now its at 160hz but can go beyond that in frames
make sure you’re trying out your fps in a baseplate game, not something that performs poorly like wom or deepwoken
I wasn’t the one who bought my computer, so I don’t remember the model but all I know is it was a refurbished computer and it’s max only goes to 60, which is weird considering it was basically redone but how could I fix that? Or do I need a graphics card?
i use an nvidia graphics card and monitor, so i had to go into its control panel software and turn off sync. try checking your monitors buttons for settings if it doesnt come with software
keep in mind that this only helped me get rid of the fps cap, did you try out the unlocker in a baseplate?
My graphics card is an intel HD 4600 that came with the pc, I’m guessing that’s pretty bad for gaming and my ram is 16 GB. My system is a 64bit processor and I don’t really know if there’s any other important stuff to mention but I think that’s my problem
You can notice a difference between 60, 100, 150 fps on a 60hz monitor . The higher the FPS, the less input lag you have, also you see the most up to date frame (or at least half of it.) Higher frames than your refresh rate means you are getting screen tearing
