I was wondering if thermo fist is truly that horrible after the nerf? If yes, feel free to explain a bit further since im not really sure if i should go thermo ash warlock
fs in general got gutted tbh, tho the dectection cone is getting buffed next update so it might get better
Thermo is also getting a buff i think, so wait til then before making your decision
Very hard to build up heat, and runs out faster too. Overall harder to maintain and harder to use.
It takes way too long to get to high heat, the heat drains way too fast even while you’re playing aggressively, and the cone detection paired with a small hitbox makes all attacks difficult to hit.
If you really want to play warlock, it’s better to use something like iron leg or basic combat, since those don’t really rely on speed, have good aoe and you don’t have to worry about seawater.
I’ve tested it out by ganking random high PK people so I could at least see if it’s no good anymore instead of ganking random innocent players.
The setup for my thermofist/basic berserker was that the gimmick of spamming and the Power Focus reliance, main abilities I used were Shot + Axe Slash + Airstep to keep the heat up, it’s fairly reliable actually plus charging your abilities holds off your heat.
The ONLY DOWNSIDE to Thermfist is the fact that Mages and even Warriors have too much off a big skill size even without the atk size stat making Thermo’s low atk size crippling because you need to constantly attack, and miss most of the times when your huddled in those huge attacks.
EVEN WORSE IF IT’S A SOLID MAGIC SURGE USER, I LITERALLY CANNOT FIGHT BACK NOT BECAUSE OF THE KNOCKBACK BUT THE SMALL HITBOX OF THERMO AND THE CONSTANT NEED TO SPAM FOR SPEED.
But it’s still doable, albiet you need the right stat and skills for it to work.
it was gutted then quartered and drawn
way too long to build up heat is an understatement. It is impossible to build up heat without standing on the ground and using m1s. For me fighting normally still results in heat lost. Maybe it’s because my build is quite fragile and can’t play that risky but thats what ends up happening. heat is lost over battle rather than gained.
