Is this balance patch going good or bad

In my opinion bad because wdym metal magic is going to have 1x damage

Metal is supposed to be the ‘high damage’ magic
Why are they nerfing it
They just took its whole identity away

Bteam member lost against metal user in elysium (billions must change builds)

You’re forgetting that Metal procs bleed if an attack deals 5%+ damage, so it’d still remain as one of the highest-damaging magics in the game.

That being said though I don’t really get the nerfs being targeted towards heavy magics. I never liked them anyway but aren’t the high damage and size supposed to compensate for their slow speed? If anything I think they’d end up being worse than they are now (I genuinely don’t believe they were “good” to begin with, save for maybe Earth)

That’s what it’s SUPPOSED to be, it’s METAL, Iron, steel, copper, not GALLIUM.


They are nerfing it straight up exclusively for PvP, It’s a STUPID balancing team, they ONLY do PvP.

We were so lucky the 0.75s → 1.5s blast cooldown was vetoed, PvE as a whole would be significantly worse, but it just shows that they don’t care about identities, a blast’s identity is to be spammable, reliable and simple, with that change it would’ve remove the spammablity and reliability, TWO parts of the ability’s identity.

Blast still got a +0.1s endlag nerf, absolute shit.

bad because the athena nerf is wayy too harsh

It’s really silly how big the nerf is; a BUTCHERING 15% → 2.5% damage, sure you get +20% Speed[1].

The nerf made it completely unnecessary to use or even get in the first place, whilst warlord got like a -0.05 size nerf.

anything imbued with athena gets 20% speed and -20% size
and size is quite useful for eagle patrimony specifically, so nerfing the additional damage is really painful

As a metal savant I shall be hunting down the balance team members.

Can I be honest theres like 20 ppl left who unironically pvp on this game . Whenever a change for pvp happens it affects pve chud jimmies like myself (ngl i dont play the game anymore so i guess its fine i take it back)

But like are we gonna keep doing this charade like 12 years down the line when we have losts and ancient magics.. cant wait to grind 15 years on a file just, get used to its playsyle, just for it to be nerfed into oblivion by the God-Emperor of The Balance Team

Worst thing is ppl who like go out of their way to defend balance team are the same ppl playing AO on their 4080’s or something with 8 ping in 3 player elysium servers… Like guhh… Nobody gaf about your “research” or “data” at the end of the day it serves to only really benefit you or your type of people

And yes research can have bias even if the data is correct. do u really think the Coca Cola Company has their consumers best interests at heart when they fund 15000 researchers to study whether or not Coke gives you aids or not.. they cherrypick results they like and give half-baked answers or conclusions
