Is this just normal?

Found in the same server where someone attacked me and couldn’t damage me so they just gave up (I assumed it was a level diff but I’m not sure I forgot a lot) and Dawn & Mango Isle were both just missing. Ended up tossing the scrolls out because they were unfinishable and even so the instructions on them would be just wrong (“Roughly midway west northwest” and it would be west in the far corner).

I know people complain about bugs but I’d assume stuff this big would be addressed, is it just really uncommon and I got terrible luck the moment I decided to come back?

@Dudeman

Also @Scandin any idea?

You sure this wasnt mythical/lost chart?

They have misleading hints

it’s just a loading issue, probably related to how the game’s code loads islands when you’re close to them and unloads them when you’re far away for optimization or whatever

im no professional but it’s probably just your internet connection or the server being slow so it didnt load in properly

Vetex’s custom loader/unloader can sometimes fail to load entirely, either be it due to conditions not being met or the perceived position being completely wrong.

I had a case similar where my position was locked to the redwake region, which meant everything palo town and below was unloaded.

nah it’s just vetex’s loader being absolute doodoofart

PvP toggle. (it defaults to off)
You can’t damage, or be damaged by people outside of duels and Munera Garden
he prob just wanted kills and seeing how you didnt take damage he just left

Definitely sure, they’re in my inv in the image. I could deal with needing to check two islands long as the general area the map tells you was correct, these were just wrong :smiling_face_with_tear:

Homelessness is on the rise

Well I had similar situation once but I haven’t played ao in months so my memory might be foggy

Think it was sameria where I got my treasure in somewhat center of the map instead of eastern edge

The Nimbus Sea map remains noticeably stretched, hence the inaccuracy of charts.
This does not apply to the Bronze Sea Map.
