Ever since a guy got banned for “having” pink magma (bug that happened randomly), its been a bit of a meme to just treat it like mentioning it will get you thrown in prison

Probably not deliberately, nor due to saturation shenanigans alone. There’s a surprisingly fair amount of other things that get it to look pink.

Basically just your typical camera shenanigans in relation to handling and receiving light. Particularly made nasty cause magma/lava release a lot of infrared/near infrared light that will naturally mess with the cameras.

As for the pink coloration in of itself, you wouldn’t be able to find any pink colored magmas in any of the types of magmas themselves on earth. As they straight up do not contain the minerals, elements, and gases required to give a pink coloration in the first place.

But also because it falls under the same line of reasoning as to why there aren’t any green or pink stars out there. Because incandescence doesn’t operate that way, and you’d have to somehow get magma to block out yellows and greens to leave behind only the reds, blues/violets.

tl;dr Camera shenanigans at play and physics make it impossible irl.

Best we can do is sulfur igniting and reacting with the surrounding oxygen to trick you into thinking the magma’s a different color:
