Personally I don’t like all the characters with death magic or something like that who are walking safety hazards from the nihilistic empathy-lacking edgelords.
Like, god death isn’t “nothing ever matters and we’re all flesh bags waiting to rot”, death can mean so many things then simply the end of life. For one, you could write a deathy character as caring immensely about honor, as many people die specifically for honor. Death can also be seen as someone that expresses true passion and emotion, as life is only valuable because of death.
Death can be the most merciful action to someone in immense suffering, and death can be seen as the vehicle to a better place (heaven).
like yeah this is lego game so why not but why do so many people write characters with death based shit as walking knives with how edgy they are
