I’d say not really in horizontal distance. If we were to talk about the distance he travelled through flight entirely, then I do believe Calvus literally flies a greater distance worth when he fights us.

Mutations existed before the continents were split so the scrolls can literally just be that old and transcribed along
This is speculation tho as it is also possible that it was by random chance people got it like Iris and then made scrolls from that but I don’t think vet would completely forget that the continents once existed
Calvus isn’t flying, he’s dashing and using crash as well as air stalling. If he could fly he wouldn’t be touching the ground after every magic enhanced dash he does.

actually even if freedrock wasn’t cursed with perfect luck he still wouldn’t die in the ocean because lazarus is an external curse.
these curse types do not violently blow up when touching water but you also can’t shift into it to avoid physical attacks

It isn’t, External Curses don’t turn you into an element. The only reason why Elemental Curse users are weak to the water is because of the magic energy from their Elemental Curse, which they are one with, conflicts with the magic energy of the sea. Since Curses don’t really turn you into a magic just give you strange abilities then it shouldn’t affect them.
If he was crashing he would deal dmg to where he flies to (he doesn’t).
He does however literally have a separate crash move he uses on you after using blasts sometimes
It is a definite possibility he’s using magic high jump but with an angle completely horizontal though

That’s what I said was a magic enhanced dash. Most likely a horizontal magic dash similar to what Elius does when he teleports in his second phase.
Not sure why this is relevant since he doesn’t use Hover because he can’t.

Regardless the idea that Warren has the inferno curse would undermine his abilities as Magic requires a lot more skill and willpower to be performed compared to Sea Curses. He’d be reduced to some lucky character who’s carried by a sea curse.
Ok, but it doesn’t explain why you think he flies when he has no ability that looks similar to a Flight spell.
