Is water a cold magic

i’m explaining why ur example doesn’t mean water is a cold magic

this is agreeing with me saying that

what u were saying earlier contradicts with that point which makes me confused

when did I say water was a cold magic?
I literally just explained that was what I was trying to say it wasn’t.

ur original statement made it sound like u were trying to say water was inherently cold
ykw nvm

literally no.
I was saying water doesn’t need to be cold to make things cold because of its other properties as a way to say that it having cold magic synergies is completely irrelevant to the discussion.

you need to improve your reading comprehension skills.

i mean you point was literally incorrect in the first place and you weren’t responding to anyone so :person_shrugging:

ok so the point you kept bringing up about heat transfering from hot to cold and not cold to hot is completely irrelevant because its exactly the same thing and makes no difference whatsoever.

Being cold is a lack of heat.

If heat transfers from object 1 to object 2, then object 2’s lack of heat moves to object 1 because energy cannot be created or destroyed.
If heat transfer is sustained, they will end up at equal temperature.

what are you even trying to say rn :skull:

that you were overcomplicating things for absolutely no reason.

okay :+1:

God fucking dammit.

thats steam magic

water + hot imbue = steam imbue

for example water thermo warlock has a steam imbue which applies the scalded synergy

steam magic isn’t in the game

water isnt able to give the scalded effect without the imbue so its steam magic

huh good ;oint actually

This topic actually reminded me of a question that I always had about Wind Magic.
There’s two different variants to wind other then normal, grey wind, “warm wind” and “cold wind” I always wondered if the temperature affinity of your magic would change based on the variant you picked.
For example, if you picked cold wind and your opponent just so happens to be cold, would your wind do extra damage? I doubt this but I never tested it.

i don’t think so, i think they’re just names to describe the colour, not colours befitting the names

probably not ingame but that could be the case in lore

Yea but why would Vetex name them like that, he knew somebody was gonna question.

cause it sounds more interesting than just grey or cyan wind

True dat, I just nitpicking a question I always had. Vetex is a maniac at times but he wouldn’t do this.
