How viable is it (both casual and competitive) compared to other magics?
If you use wood, what was its gimmick that made you want to use it over earth or glass?

On casual it’s pretty good. On competitive it’s nice on low elo (bronze-gold) but falls off hard on grandmaster+
Wood is pretty great combined with high power and status duration jewels, and compared to other magics it is pretty good. I wouldn’t use it over earth by any means though, but it does look cool af.
Wood magic is pretty nice. You know it’s not going to get buffed or nerfed regularly by the balance team and you know that it has some sort of synergy with fire. It is pretty nice. Plus fire (sometimes but not too often) gets changed.
Unless you’re of slavic ethnicity, lived in the middle ages, got captured by Europeans, turned into a slave (yes, this is the actual etymology of the word), got purchased by the concept of ‘meta’ (most efficient tactic available), and became a plasma/any heat magic-wood mage or a wood thermolock; It’s going to be overall mediocre due to its innately low range (attack speed) and less-than-average statistics (+0.2 size in exchange of -0.05 power and -0.2 attack speed).
The imbuement is decent though, so use it for that if anything.
Okay so is my idea of new status effect for wood gonna be scrapped?
Where can I find the idea?
This is probably it
