Item bank system
Every town now has a new vendor with a simple purpose: storing the players valuable items, accessible between files. These do not store galleons.
The bank would serve a whole host of purposes, for example:
- It allows players to put away items they do not wish to trade, or otherwise currently not needed (but not useless) items.
- It streamlines moving items between files, which is already possible using a friend or alt.
Here’s some extra rules they follow:
- Each character needs to spend a one time fee of galleons to begin using the banks services.
- Items that were originally put in by a different save file will cost galleons to retrieve, based on the value and type of item.
- Storage begins small but can be upgraded for galleons, these upgrades are account wide. (Because making them per character probably wouldn’t work.)
In addition, the player can buy access to a freezer for fish to be stored in. Fish stored this way last indefinitely until removed, and cannot be withdrawn by other files.
The player starts with a very small number of slots which can be increased with galleons. These upgrades are per file.
Bigger fish will take up more slots, and multiple of the same fish will not stack in the same slot.
While I won’t be elaborating on it here, these could also be used to give criminals another new objective, crime they can commit, or set of quests, relating to robbing these banks.
