It's been almost a month since full release dropped, have you invested in pouches?

  • Yes, I am using the pouch system.
  • No, I turned off the pouch system.

Personally, I am not a big fan of the idea, I prefer having my inventory on hand so I keep it off.

One nitpick i have with the pouch system, specifically options. I want to access my pouch quickly but I also want to access my inventory. I get why they coded it the way they did, but the system currently is picking between the two. Quick pouch or have inventory to slide stuff to your 1-9 keys.

Yeah that’s a big issue for me, I keep it off since I find it to be the lesser evil of the two.

I just need filter options for the backpack

I got used to pouches since day 2 or 3 of fr. I honestly think its a huge improvement.

It’s nice for a lot of tools like fishing rod or shovel or waist lantern or soap and whatnot that didn’t all used to fit in my hotbar

potions especially are really nice

some thing I dont think vetex though of when adding pouches is a lot of compact key boards dont have the key to toggle the pouches and you need to hold fn all the way on the opposite side of the keep board while hitting esc and moving your mouse with the other hand very awarkd movement. i wish i can just tap it and have it stay open instead of having to hold it plus using pouches makes getting to the backpack harder so easier to get to 5 items but harder to get to all the other 500 bit werid.

I have a 60% keyboard, which means the ½ key requires the fn key to be held whilst pressing esc, I have changed the pouch key to be Z as it’s most convient, but it would benefit if the default key was changed to a more accessible key, as I have to change my keybinds everytime I want to make a new character.

It’s pretty much more hotbar slots for me

I have the setting off cuz I want access to packpack but I still use pouches when holding the key down and I find it insanely useful at times as I’m a savant with 6 equips in my hotbar and a 20m? inventory that takes 10 seconds to load each time I’d want to swap something out (very often) so pouches work for me

50/50 for me.

On most of my files, it’s just easier to turn quick pouch off, and turn inventory on. It allows you to switch your hotbar a lot better as sometimes you can’t fit everything in your pouches (especially when you don’t go back for all of them); and you tend to need pouches pretty infrequently, so the delay mostly means nothing.

On my Knight and Savant though? Yeah, quick Pouches stay on. My hands aren’t that long compared to my keyboard— On my laptop, i can comfortably reach the 5 key whilst moving, and can maybe stretch a 6 from time to time. My computer has a full keyboard (and i feel like its keys are just bigger overall) and its hell to try and reach past 5 whilst doing anything else. Opening your pouch and swapping to your Relic/Weapon is much smoother for combat once you get used to the pouch placement— something thats easier once you have all of them too.

pretty much: ≥5 tools = Use pouches; otherwise you can mostly ignore them and be fine.

…you can… turn it off???

wdym? if you have inventory on it let’s you use pouches and the inventory at the same time?

i think pouches are one of the best things about full release for me tbhh

so useful to put tools/potions/food in that you dont want flooding your hotbar

The only W is I can pull out Rod and Shovel fast
