This is something I wondered was possible a few years ago, and since then I’ve been working towards reading as much of the forums as I can. I’ve seen quite a lot of things along the way, and have finally made it here after 3 and a half years.

For reference, the forums currently has roughly 1.38M total posts created
(Discourse used to have a section that directly told you how many posts there are, but after the update a couple months ago that doesn’t really exist anymore so I had to use an alternative way to get the total)
If that’s correct, then the forum has had about 380k posts created since it hit 1 million posts back in June 2023; That actually surprised me cause I expected it to be a fair bit more than that, for some reason I thought it would have surpassed 1.5m by now

Either way, congrats on reading a million posts Div! It’s incredible to see how much you’ve read over the past year from market place topics, to the discourse of the game-discussion topics, you were able to zoom past me and unit vector in the short span of 6 months. There must be so much information brimming around in that mind. But I’ll catch up to you one day, even if it takes forever :P.

It was likely a post I read sometime around August 2022, since I hit 200k in July and was at 280k in September. Knowing me, it was probably a post in Reminders for AO Part 2
Oh that’s interesting, I wonder if there are certain things that they both count differently (not sure how the forum counts deleted posts, or if it counts DMs). My count comes from one of the forum’s mod tools, but since your version is from the about me section I wouldn’t be surprised if that was more accurate
Yeah took quite a bit of mind-numbing scrolling at times, but through sheer boredom I was able to get through stacks of topics everyday. Not sure if I’d say much of it was retained though loll

Reading can be done pretty much anywhere like on a bus or at work or in class, plus I’ve basically gotten everything I need right now in AO (other than philosopher which will take like 4 months if I try getting it)

Tangential necrobump, but my “Time Read” now displays in months rather than days; I don’t think I’ve seen that happen before, it might indicate a read time of over 99 days.
