Alright, to start off, I’d like to say: hope you can keep track, this isn’t going to be organized.
1. The Protagonist is a Demigod/legacy
I believe this for numerous reasons, but the main ones are Eagle Patrimony and Calvus’ dialogue.
Calvus: “Who are you, really… I’ve only sensed that kind of energy once before…”
(Perhaps he senses the power of a demigod?)
Calvus: “You may not know your true power yet. but I can sense it… People with your blood are destined for great things in this world.
(Obviously Calvus can sense that we are not normal… when he says people with your blood, maybe he means descendants of the gods?)
Calvus: “We believe your kind is the key to our true goal, so the Order captures people like you to perform experiments on…”
(“Your kind” likely refers to descendants of the gods.
Eagle Patrimony is a spirit weapon, which is created by the gods by imbuing their power into it. I believe (not entirely sure) that these weapons were made for only a select few people, i.e. descendants or followers of the gods. In addition, the name of the spirit weapon may hint to the protagonists lineage. The eagle is a symbol of Zeus in Greek mythology and the word patrimony literally means “anything derived from one’s father or ancestors” (Merriam-Webster). Thus, one can assume the protagonist is a descendant of Zeus (probably not from Zeus himself, he’s been dead for thousands of years.)
2. Everybody that was experimented on by the Order of Aesir is a descendent of a god (maybe titans and giants too).
As I stated previously, I believe the Order was experimenting on demigods (likely to further the understanding of magic and spirit energy). This also includes Morden, who escaped with us. Now, I have some theories on who his godly parent may be… the most obvious option is Hades, ruler of the underworld and god of the dead (pay attention to the DEAD part). This is plausible mainly because Hades died recently at the hands of the protagonist in the 7 Seas. While Hades was controlling Durza, or rather, Acheron, he could have sired a child. It would make sense if Hades was Mordens father, as I assume Vetex has a sense of humor much like my own. The Death Curse could be foreshadowing Morden’s lineage. Another possibility is Thanatos, the god of death (not dead). It is unknown if he is dead, although it is unlikely because Hades was EXTREMELY powerful and could have defended him from Arthur. Overall, I feel like it would make more sense, and be more dramatic, if Hades was the father. In the lore, Hades is revealed to be a major character because he was controlling Acheron the entire time.
3. The statues in Makrinaos are of Hades
Not sure if this is SUPER relevant, but the statues are likely to be Hades. I think this because of the weapon he’s holding: a bident. The bident is a symbol of Hades, as seen in many ancient portrayals by the ancient Greeks.
4. Iris is likely the descendant of an important figure from the Golden Age of Magic
(Probably not important)
It is said in the lore doc that “over time, experienced mages found shards of Hecate’s soul, and were able to use their power to create enhanced forms of their magic - a process known as ‘mutating’ to create ‘lost magics’ These mages passed down the ability to learn these created lost magic through their bloodline, and named their newly created magics as the first users of them. Some mages even found multiple Hecate Shards… to mutate a magic even further to increase its strength more. These magics are known as Ancient Magics. …some of the oldest lost magics such as acid, poison, and sand became more common… some children were even born able to use them. Some people can also very rarely be born with the ability to use a lost magic, such as Flare. The power to use magic is passed down through generations…”
Due to the fact that only highly skilled mages who possessed Hecate shards could mutate their magics, one could assume that Iris is likely a descendant of a very powerful mage.
