Khalid grew up as the son of a normal family in a merchant city.
His father, a Navy officer, was rarely at home, so Khalid was raised almost entirely by his mother, that worked as an alchemist.
Even if he couldn’t spend much time with him, Khalid admired his father and his job, dreaming of joining the Navy himself one day.
But his life changed when the city was raided by a pirate alliance.
The Navy responded promptly, but the casualties were already numerous, between them his mother.
That day, Khalid understood that he couldn’t leave to others the safety of those he cared for.
Having no other family, his father took him to the navy base where he was assigned, but ended up immersing himself even deeper into his job to cope with the pain.
Khalid passed the rest of his youth training between marines, learning marksmanship and swordsmanship from them.
Once old enough to enlist, he decided not to follow his father footsteps, seeing his job as one of the reasons he didn’t manage to protect those close to him.
He became a bounty hunter, also working as a wandering alchemist.
Stories spread in the cities that he visited, of pirate vessels, whose crews where found decimated even before their boats entered the island’s harbor.

Curiosities:
- Khalid is incredibly fond of lemon-based beverages and often travels around to gather the ingredients himself.
- He is often scolded by his traveling companions for using his blade both for fighting and cooking.
- Even if he distanced himself after his mother death, his father cares quite a bit about him and keeps track of his whereabouts using the reports from his job as a bounty hunter.
