“Hey, what if mages could do something like a kamehameha”
The first image was a pain for more reasons than one; it’s a result of 3 different images put together to get the pose and then blending everything so it looked somewhat decent.
The second image was way easier character-wise; getting the beam effects and the lens flare right was a little difficult, but once I had the gist, it was smooth sailing.

being magicless in the AU sucks bro imagine being a pirate all you got is some rusty ass flintlocks and a sabre and you looks up and sees some fucker with firey wings charging up a nuke at you

so we got ray.. we got surge.. mix them together and we got a lost variant problem solved (customizable to have a potent closerange and spread/weaker longrange or vice versa)

Ray + Surge should just be called like “Raze” or something
Haha get it cuz like to raze means to destroy or obliterate something and it also sounds like ray
lowk considering putting a ridonculous amont of effort into animating this in studio should I do it
Fun fact, you can make piercing magic by using the clap animation on the ray spell
