An idea of infused arcanium apples is actually pretty sick, they would probably give a particular effect when imbued with an element, like enhanced attack speed and agility with lightning magic infused, or additional defense and damage reduction with iron magic infused. For shadow magic, something along the line of invisibility and movement speed/shadow blinding imbuement to skills/spells and weapons.
