I came up with a similar idea that wouldn’t make having multiple files overpowered but instead encourage the deletion of files (as you otherwise wouldn’t have any reason to do so).
Everytime a file is deleted, any files that occupies its same space will earn a stackable % exp boost.

Ok so here’s an alternative idea:
You have to progress to a certain point through all prior files before making a new one, and said new one will have an exp boost based on its number. (terrible idea)
does deepwoken have such a system??
nah but it has echoes which you get from wiping your character, which can be spent on permanent small buffs like boosted damage to monsters or decreased hunger drain
what if we just have a boss rush for easy exp
now look the thing is, believe it or not, vetex isn’t hyper rich off crazy monetization like certain other games. I don’t think it’s predatory to add something some parts of the community have bee begging for in exchange for a bit of profit
yeah something like deepwoken trial of one where you need to solo every boss 20-25% underleveled gearless
for example:
fight shura at level 8
iris at level 16
elius at level 48
argos at level 64
carina at level 72
calvus at level 80
if you lose to a boss it spits you out there at that level, and if you do the whole thing you go to the start of the wind-row story at level 105

I feel like you’re missing the point, Vetex isn’t adding this so that players can speed run new files, but because it’s a pretty good way to make some money
