I still think that a little training will allow me to clap most clanless players with lightning paladin. I’m probably gonna build it with like 150 speed, 100 size, a whole lot of power, and less defence cause I can likely get away with it
(It’s just gonna be a faster but weaker oracle)
It should, you still have strong utility and a good magic. but against any serious fighter, you’re fighting an uphill battle.
your spirit weapons will hit fast though.
Or with an acid/magma/plasma synergised weap
Tidestone, staff of night, crystal orb?
Dunno, probably gonna go for the highest size ones, I wouldn’t use minion much, and I’d need a LOT of get off me-s
well, then we’ll have to see what the ember and pan weapons do eh? i do think staff of night is good for your case tho
idk how that would work though. synergies rely on statuses, and a Plasma/Magma/Acid spirit weapon wouldn’t create a reaction. Lightnings just left dead in a ditch because Paralyze also doesn’t make a synergy. we’d have to wait a while for T2+ spirit weapons, and by then you could probably go with ancient lightning.
as for your previous question, if imbued magic could stick to things then a scald build could definitely work
if pan has wood synergies, then any heat magic will run fine, and any cold build could potentially mimic it by using emberstaff, then switch to pan-weapon.
Slow will probably be really useful, as I don’t see myself using many short range options
Yes! Thank you for the idea you’re very sweet
- True… 2. I dont get your second statement? 3. I also dont get this… maybe brain simple?
I love helping fellow (or to-be) paladins and knights
If the 2nd/3rd questions both partain to pan+scald, then Paladin can only imbue one thing at a time, and we dont know if an imbued magic will keep its imbued property when it imbues something else.
magic+spirit imbued onto another spirit might not make spirit+(spirit+magic), and would instead just be the default magic onto a spirit weapon.
As for the third thing, basically we dont know if tidestone/ember will cream steam/scald. i hope it does, but we haven’t got a true confirmation yet. If it does, then any Cold/Heat magic could have steam weapons and use wood synergies. Its more useful for Cold since heat magics have wood synergies anyways, all at equal power aside from magma.
unrelated, but given how Paladin works, i wouldn’t be too suprised if second awakening basically gave it savants awakening + a second magic.
I don’t get the appeal of steam though.
Wiki says it’s the exact same as fire
Note that part of this talks about knights…
exactly. every heat/cold magic can mimic fire… which is why i also ranked fire low, it gets no benefit from this.
for example, an ash spirit weapon could be fused with steam to create easier petrified statuses.
Confirmed in vetcord by vetex that tidestone and ember have water and fire synergies respectively, so I would expect so
oh okay, so I guess this’d be most useful for stuff like ice and magma, in order to have a faster imbued item
yeah they have fire/water… but given how picky spirit is I wouldn’t be too suprised if it didn’t.
I dont even think Spirit can affect magics stats, its just trying to be difficult.
wdym ?
i remember somebody telling me that when i brought it up some long time ago. maybe its changed or they were wrong, but i could see it happening.
we really didn’t get a lot of answers about spirit items so Its still mostly throwing things in the wall.
