So, from what we know, we have these spirit weapons: Eagle’s Patrimony (Lightning Synergy), Staff of Night (Shadow Synergy), Crystal Orb (Light Synergy), Tidestone Band (Water Synergy), Ember Staff (Fire Synergy), unknown Pan spirit weapon(s) (Wood Synergy). So the question is, for Knights/Paladins(determine ur stats too): What is the best set of weapons or magic respectively, for a corresponding set of Spirit Weapons? And as part of that what would be the better alignment; Ruthless/Merciful.
assuming the level cap is 180 like Vetex said it would probably be, heres what i’ll be running:
160 spirit 200 weapons
SSword: Flash Strike, Dragon Song, Rising Tide, Flying Slash
Rapier: Piercing Gale, Sparrow Thrust, Piercing Strikes
Greataxe: Towering Impact, Devastate, Skull Crusher
Patrimony: Default moveset
Crystal Orb: Default moveset
Tidestone Band: Replace Spirit Drain with Spirit Rain, keep the rest of its default moveset
Patrimony imbue on all three weapons since theres no point in having Light or Water synergies on those specific weapons.
Merciful.
I would argue that tidestone’s water synergy is useful for rapier and greataxe though? understand the decision for the spirit weaps tho, not the weapons (also im poor no ssword aaah)
Hm yes would i rather do 2.5% extra damage (tidestone imbue) or 7.5% extra damage (patrimony imbue)
i think the decision is very blatant.
(Patrimony imbue, atleast currently in maingame, also does not clear bleed by the way.)
oh damn, forgot that breh, btw why rapier n greataxe may i ask
This over shining cycle or anihilation ?
no seismic rift ?
i might run weapon > spirit for my knight file, still deciding on what weapons would fit her. and for lorepurposes, defo merciful
my other paladin? water paladin will obviously work around the tidestone band and go spirit > magic, no idea regarding moves yet
“wait a minute, I’ve done this before”. Luckily for me, I’ve spent a ludicrous amount of time looking at Paladin and the other builds for full release (help).
Originally, I’ve tried to make it for 175, but the extra levels shouldn’t change the requirements by too much. (for hybrids, minmax is 144/216)/
As or stat distrubutions: all wep/spi hybrids need to go for 160 minimum in the stat for the greatest move ever: SpiritWalk/Swordstep; unless its price can be cheaped, its basically a requirement given how good the move it.
As for Paladin, I’ve guessed they’ll either go 160spi/200mag, or 140mag/216spi, or something similar (depending on them going magi or spirit).
As for Knight, It actually doesn’t need 160 spirit, as it gets SwordStep instead. Knight’s still might go higher (spirit has several useful moves), but unlike Jugg/Pal/Conj/Warlord, they don’t actively need too; especially since it seems like Knight-Exclusives aren’t going to be out for full release.
I had this tierlist for Paladin; mostly focusing on which Magics could synergize with all its tools best, The actual post for it has more descriptions, but I’m too lazy to link it.
Assume everything above Shadow has 1 or more synergy (most of which are actually quite strong), aside from poison; but its cloud spam + its minor fire synergy.
Yes, Lighting/Fire are terrible on Paladin, they have no synergies. Ash is high because it’ll also spawn debris. Fire at least has a status (despite it not reacting to anything), and wind has good knockback. Lightning has nothing going for it outside of stats, which makes my main argument for C-tier and below magics: Shittier shadow.
As for knight, it’s basically running patrimony 100% of the time, unless you’re weird and run scorch/poison knife, shadow knife also wont matter much because its shadow.
Run Patrimony for Bleed synergy, its weapons best synergy; if you’ve got sunk sword its still patrimony for paralyzed, you could also do steamed but meh.
Lightning > Metal
Might I suggest ember staff either way imbue and patrimony imbue into magic then? Plus crystal orb.
Colours for Plasma (variant + alignment)? For moves and orb summon… also why is magma/crystal/sand up there?
visually yes- statistically: absolutely not.
they all have pretty good movesets with the elements they have:
Magma/Acid have 7.5% reactions with Lightning magic, they also make debris; puddles and debris are strong.
Plasma has everything fire/lightning wished they had. Sand has a lightning synergy, also strong.
See that’s the flaw about your tierlist, it isn’t about what our heart tells us. My heart tells me that lightning belongs in the SSS tier, and, as such, it does. See the logic ?
On a more serious note though, wood deserves A tier
I’m poor, and im thinking of using poison tooth (tho prob temp, see how good it is… scald might be better), so maybe a kai sabre instead? Also for plasma i was asking abt the colours
i just wish spirit could react to things without statuses. Wind/Lightning are gonna be left to dust.
oh plasma looks cool regardless of what you do with it.
Red/Ruth is very vivid, Red/Merc is also a nice combo.
Pink/Ruth is also quite strong, and Pink/Merc is quite pleasent…
as long as patrimony isn’t also there (this is the only one i have photos, of, i dont have any red Paladin photos anymore) Post your paladins! - #21 by dukeshade
Well yeah… I kinda hate how status based good builds are. That’s kinda why I haven’t tried mage even a single time yet. Lightning’s gonna be busted again when we get a high tier poseidon spirit weapon
Lightning is by far my favourite magic, but I just wish I could use it optimally without resorting to stuns (I guess the bleed synergy is still really good), though I don’t know how Vet could ever tackle that
status based build are the only way to even react with Spirit… WHY. this kills: Cannon/Boxing/Basic and Every magic that relies on stats.
I assume Vetex did this so late-game weapons and spirit wasn’t too similar, but honestly; i would’ve prefered if spirit had more irregular statuses instead of elemental so that they dont rely on synergy, but adding effects to weapons.
So @dukeshade Im thinking, pan weapon onto scald? Could be quite good in the future is what im thinking + Patrimony onto atl gs or wtv applies better bleed? if i dont get an ss maybe patrimony on sabre or ember on poison tooth?
