Laughable

The state of this game is an absolute joke. Especially the new update. Nothing actually challenging was added, all it is, is just a tedious grind for items that will be outdated in the next update in 8 months. The dark sea isn’t a challenge, it’s a chore. You don’t actually feel threatened in it, nor should you. The whole concept of the dark sea is just going from one island to another, avoiding the 900 waves and lightning strikes every 3 seconds to find an island that has the same 2-3 structures on it with the same horsepiss easy npc guarding a few chests. The only cool concept were the sirens, but a singular mob won’t save an update that took 6 fucking months to release.
When I previously brought up the fact that Snow, Lightning and Ice get free stuns with every move in the dark sea due to the permanent soaked status fact, Vetex’s response was and I quote: “no one cares”.
With responses like this it’s no surprise that the updates are almost as poor as the interest he has for actually fixing dogshit unintentional unbalances.
Where did the development time actually go? Surely Vetex didn’t just code randomly spawning in waves and lightning strikes with fancy whacky colours for 6 months? SUUUURELY NOT RIGHT?

PS: Please remove the fucking disgusting water poison debuff, it isn’t a threat nor is it a cool feature. It’s an inconvenience and ruins the little fun the dark sea actually provides.

i’ve gotten water poisoning within 30 seconds of washing a previous water poisoning off (in 1.14.3 by the way) so i think its bugged

it is, if you hover over water poisoning in the bottom left it tells you you can clear it by bathing or seeking shelter

the thing some people have a problem with is that some shelter is not really “shelter”
eg: standing under a tree does not count
and the washing basin is that some players may not notice the small box with water in it on the floor
yes this topic was a rant and yes they put it very badly
but the issue is a small one, and iirc I saw a suggestion to just make it highlight the soap box when you get water poisoning (this is just how i intepret and some things I have extrapolated from various forum post, I personally have not had issues with this feature, but others have)

it does, i have cleared it in-game myself by doing this. The leaves of a tree don’t count, but a tree branch does

i mean i figured itd be common sense after buying a new ship to check out the interior and mess around with things in there

first rule of game design never assume something is obvious you are going to get timmy to manage to get stuck because “i cant find the orange next to the tree” when there is only 1 tree in the entire map

i think it actually is common sense in this case tho, why wouldn’t you explore your new ship, especially with such a big upgrade as the brig?

I also could’t find the gemcrafting rack untill i switched hull armor (too much bright wood on the interior, adhd pattern matching brain does not approve)

I doubt a timmy would be able to get to max lvl and get 20k galleons

No I meant bathing works to get rid of water poisoning, but bathing does not provide the immunity you mentioned.
I’ve bathed and gotten water poisoning no less than 10 seconds later with and without having water poisoning already active if that’s a factor.

What I was talking about for wanting a visible status effect was for the immunity you mentioned.

also, about the reply on the locked suggestion, yes it does tell you how to clear it, i was pointing out how it is not stated that bathing grants you temporary immunity to water poisoning for 5 minutes. That part was stated by you on the suggestion and only there.

Bathing definitely does not give the immunity. Theres been multiple times where I’ve gotten it in less than a minute after bathing. Video for proof (ignore audio):

I think most people are frustrated about the frequency of water poisoning. 30 seconds is not enough to finish a fight, whether its sirens or atlanteans. Also, I added in the suggestion that there should be a buff informing the player that they are immune whenever they wash themselves.
