As much as I enjoy powerscaling, doing so with Arcane’s top tiers (Arcane in general honestly) is just a losing battle without making an incredible amount of assumptions. EVERY top tier is just a statement merchant with either no or wildly inconsistent feats (the best feats we know of come from a person who might not even make top 10 of the verse lol), and don’t even get me started on all the retconned/old information. The sheer lack of up-to-date information makes placing 95% of the characters in a tier list incredibly difficult, if not downright impossible
Just want to clear this up, Vetex’s initial statement made it seem that way but he elaborated later and said it would be a close fight where Apophis’ dragon physiology gives her the edge. So Apophis is not low diffing the PK, likely more of a high to extreme diff fight. Also we don’t know if he was talking about the PK pre- or post-Absorption Blessing, since she won’t be getting it for another 2-3 years by this point in AO’s story (assuming that AA story beat doesn’t get retconned)
I’m pretty sure that was a misconception cuz Vetex worded it horribly. In reality apophis could probably win but it’d be. Her main strength seemed to be her size and the fact that Peacekeeper has so crazy durability
I dont know why we need to abide to this definition though. I mean we already know characters like Morden or Silas who are not part human can still be considered mages, I don’t know why the definition of a mage has to be stuck to humans. Especially because in lore, humans don’t have to be mages, the only thing that determines whether you are, or are not a mage. Is whether or not you can use magic
The Aberrations best scaling is, its “one of the strongest beings” we don’t know whether that means top 10 or top 20 or even top 30, so that statement right now isn’t extremely scalable since being one of the strongest can mean so many things
yeah I already prefaced that as an issue when talking about powerscaling. But the top 5 still have reasonable placements that can be made, its after that where it can get wishy washy
we did dawg you just werent there, pretty sure there was thread about the Unknowns (canonically list of top 11 strongest in AU, scrapped/never made it into canon though) and other things
problem is vetex wants to hammer down realism as much as possible while also love glazing up magic which resulting in even someone like the PK would kick the bucket if someone shoot them with a bullet or how craters and such created by physical builds are just ingame stuffs and lorewise they are still restricted to human levels of physical performance

The peacekeeper has litterly like sub 5 years of magic experience compared to like theos who has hundreds and cursebeard who has thousands
Vetex said apophis wins cuz they are massive and can just crush the peacekeeper (magical power doesn’t protect from physical attacks), if apophis tries stomping cursebeard the blaze curse is making a giant cursebeard shaped hole in apophis’s foot, physical attacks do litterly nothing to him

Also idk where you got the idea that physical builds are restricted to human level, thats literally verbatim stated otherwise. Its just you can’t get further than top 20 without magic
the peacekeeper is stated to have unlocked their full potential in the AO lore document, so it doesn’t matter that they only had 5 years of experience, they dont get any stronger
