can’t wait for d4c to be added to arcane odyssey

cant wait for the local oracle to fucking smite me down by having their friend use a max power build 20% ultimate blast barrage with Love Train activated

Nah vetex is canceling arcane Odyssey and is revamping it again frfr

60% of 2,400 (total stat points at level 600) is 1,440. Ancient magics are planned to be accessible at level 450 so that’s likely 900 minimum magic. Hybrid classes will likely have the stats necessary to use ancient magic unless they’re explicitly locked out of it.

Math was wrong, 60% of 1,200 is 720 so yes hybrids won’t get ancient tier stuff.

Too much.

You get 2 per level not 4
You would have 1,200 points at level 600

so if max level remains 600 hybrids arent going to get ancients, because max magic stat for them would be 720

Well the max level was stated to be somewhere around 600, so it might not be 600 on the dot. Still unlikely that hybrids will be able to access ancient magics.

i checked and max level would have to be over 750 for hybrids to get ancients

solid reminder that we have no idea if vetex plans for hybrids to be able to access ancient magics, but it wouldn’t be out of the question considering theres already ingame mention of an Ancient Lightning conjurer. (and i doubt A. Lightning is a lost, because it has ancient in its name, and sounds powerful.)

according to vetex its lost

that makes zero sense
why call it ancient if its not that ancient

Because it’s like, really old lightning

its old but its not an ancient magic :man_shrugging:

either way my point still stands, we’re still going to be at a minimum of 250 levels away from it on full release, so he could decide to make it usable by hybrids by the time he adds it.

Only mages deserve ancient magics
Hybrids are impure, and unworthy of our true power.

Personally me, I don’t think that lost and ancient magics and their counterparts are actually stat locked. They are level locked. Ik at least this, mages have 2 ancients and 1 lost at their peak, hybrids 1 ancient and 1 lost. Savant probably qualifies as a hybrid if not its probably 1 ancient or 1 lost.

For example, Calvus is lvl 300 and a savant, yet he can use aether magic. The peak a mage could have at this point is 1200, so there is no shot a savant could have it, unless its not stat point based. (This is just assuming game logic works on npcs.)
