Bored? Stuck in an argument? Want to have fun with your friends? Want to put words in someone else’s mouth? Introducing…
LIBELPOSTING[1]
How do you do it, you might ask?
It’s simple! Say person 1 says something like this:
Man I absolutely hate this new AO patch they gutted all my fucking frames. How am I supposed to PVP players now! I spent ages getting the optimal AOE spam and THIS is how I get rewarded? By having the game give me the finger? This is bullshit!
Person 2 sees an opportunity, and arranges his posts so they say something like this:
Man I absolutely hate
getting
fucking
gutted
By
AO
players
they
give me the finger
THIS
is bullshit!
With the right posts, this method of whimsical fun can be absolutely hilarious. But before you start trying to mess with people, we have ground rules to deal with first.
1.) Do not edit quotes to make someone say words they never actually said. This doesn’t mean don’t libelpost, it means don’t edit one of your words to include a word, phrase or sentence that wasn’t from the original reply or group of replies you were using for your libelpost. For example, if the person who’s post you’re transforming never said “milk” in their post, do not edit the quote so it says “milk” in your libelpost.
2.) Try not to go to other topics to get your words. Now I know it’s tempting to dig up old posts and quote those in order to get your perfect post. However, you’re better than that. If you’re really a creative person, you use the posts from your target only in the topic you’re in.
Those are the only two golden rules you must follow when making your libelpost. While you can make people say really out of pocket shit, if you get caught by the mods, it’s on you.
With all that out of the way, begin quoting posts, and have fun absolutely making your friends look horrible in the process.
