It’s like two opposing magnets, only you force them together. Once you let go they blast apart with tremendous force. That’s what equinox is. The only known user of it destroyed an entire empire with a single blast of that magic.

Well we don’t actually know. Since only 1 person in history ever was able to use Equinox (though I think it was a planned mutation) no one really understands how it works. But that’s the general idea you get from the AA webcomic.

I think the general argument with light and shadow is that they are strong individually anyways so they don’t need synergies.
Although, there are magic with good synergies that are even better on their own anyways lol.
I was thinking light and shadow could synergise with each-other in one way but debuff each-other in another. Both effects decrease the damage of the other magic which can stay, but I was thinking if shadow’s effect is applied to someone who is heavily blinded, it could increase the blind duration or intensity even more. In turn, the damage of each respective damage would be decreased even further in exchange for a buffed blind effect.

ngl imo light and shadow should theoretically work together, and by together I mean like you could fire a shadow blast, and fire a light blast into that shadow blast to cause a huge explosion that deals maybe double damage and has a larger aoe or somethin like that, I mean they explode into fucking lightning for a reason
