Hello. Does anyone know any good elements that would work well with the light magic. It’s complete lack of damage synergies leaves me overwhelmed and I can’t think of any combo that would lack in comparison for another. For example, I could go light and plasma, but if I’m going to choose plasma, I might as well start over and choose explosion, since plasma + explosion is clearly better. I feel like light users (and shadow users) are going to be worthless when the second element update comes out. Please leave your suggestions and reasons why (emphasis on the why).

I think the reason why light and shadow don’t have much synergies is because they are fairly solid magics by themselves. Besides, they’ll probably get more synergies with the inclusion of lost and primordial magics, as some of them would make sense to pair with light and shadow.
While we don’t know how Lost and Prims will change this, they don’t have any direct synergies. This means for your 2nd and 3rd magic you’ll have to do one of two things: Get a 2 magic synergy between them, or get two magics to cover the weaknesses of Light. And example for the first option would be getting two magics that could freeze when used together. The 2nd would be getting two magics that don’t exactly synergize, but cover some bases light can’t, such more hard hitting or utility based magics. Light’s strength is its overwhelming speed so your other two magics could afford to lack in speed because of this. Just don’t get shadow, as the two don’t work well together.

It’s meant to lack in synergies to compensate for its good base stats.
those good base stats that can’t even secure it a good place in a meta of only one magic
light (and especially shadow) are going to be shit tier when we get second magic
As for the question, Pip has the right idea. Get something that covers light’s weaknesses (or rather, something that light covers the weakness of). Light lets you pick very slow magics as your secondaries, since you’ll still be able to hit from long range - if I had to name some I’d lean towards magma and gold, since they both fit the bill and have strong 30%/20% synergies with each other.
Light deals heavy blind, so many wind/snow (or ice, whichever is faster) to get a easier aim to freeze opponents
Light is a mediocre magic, in order to compensate for the lack of magics that synergize with it, I believe it should be buffed at 2nd magic, right now its a mediocre magic in PvP.

my black man powers will consume him, he will have nowhere to run once I acquire them, and nothing is going to stop me from monching, monching and monching on these losers.
If we can’t pick light/shadow AGAIN to buff it, light/shadow ain’t gonna be that good once 2nd magics come out. Unless some primordial or lost magics will have synergies with em.
Do you really rely on synergies that much, you can make your own combos without synergies if u haven’t noticed
i have shadow and i know shadow is good in pvp with its well based stats but it will be a big boost for shadow magic users to have 2nd magics because drained only gets you so far in pvp
I personally find that the drained effect actually makes it slightly more difficult to see projectiles. I’ve always thought of what shadow and glass would look like together, since glass is already pretty damn hard to see. And the third magic could be something that gets boosted from glass bleed.

imma be real with you my man, the way you talk kinda annoyin idk why tho
i suggest gold magic, incase you dont need the fast speed from light when the enemy gets up close, then you can use gold attacks and do more damage.
Or you can be an actual god and use shadow as your second magic even if equinox doesn’t exist simply because you can.
