Line of Sight checks are now enforced to all enemies (EDIT: PRAISE VETEX IT'S FIXED see solution)

lore > gameplay and gameplay > lore only when its most inconvenient to the player

all that years work on FR only to make the entire fighting system shit last minute

Line of sight check should only be apply to Mini-bosses and Bosses (Including both non-story and storyline)

How about this just only applies to very specific portions of the map? Like wherever it’s supposed to be working in castrum, and enemy towers, and whatever the heck was needed for atlanteans.

To everyone complaining, please remember that the past few months have been incredibly stressful for Vetex—this entire time, he’s been making one excellent, cool choice after another, and now it’s all become too much. We need to let the man go back to his roots and make a truly godawful decision to balance out all the awesomeness.

he said all npcs tho

been like that since arcane adventures

fr bro tell me why im going from lightskin to black when walking in sameria i dont even tan that badly irl

Yeah though testers are trying to make LoS better

They better add it to the other way as well so it affects both ways, don’t need any more artificial difficulty

Poison and Ash mages stay winning, because this does not affect clouds.

This is so stupid and such a bad idea that almost everyone is going to hate.

This is going to make almost every fight annoying, this should only apply to bosses and other important or special npc not some level 15 marine in silverhold.

I thought vetex learn his lesson when he give Atlanteans the LoS system but no, he didn’t. And what I heard from Vetcord, the Majority of the testers and moochezz himself are unhappy about it

  • The community thinks its a bad idea.
  • The testers think its a bad idea.
  • The balance team thinks its a bad idea.
  • Moochezz thinks its a bad idea.

Literally the entirety of AO is against this change and Vetex isn’t even batting an eye. Bro is choosing to not listen to anyone who is trying to show him why its a bad idea. At this rate, the only way he’ll see the error of his ways is if the update flops due to how janky the LoS system is.

I think he’s just sick of having to program things, and he’d rather release the update with the busted up LoS combat than have enemy towers be cheesable, as long as it means that he doesn’t have to fix either of them.

but it doesnt make sense, like he could just put LoS on the tower enemies only like how he did it with the ones that already have it

Hope and pray this shit gets rolled back. Love getting my colossal flash strike no-regged because the Ravenna Ensign I’m fighting was behind a 1 inch wide pebble.

:cross_mark: Rework combat and NPC AI to make it more fun, fluid and balanced?

:white_check_mark: Add a shitty anti-cheese mechanic that’s only going to make the unfun and crappy combat even more unfun and crappy

You know shit is fucked up when everyone- even the testers - are against this change.

Also if you think this is the only bad change, the Magic Reset Gamepass also got a lot of shit (rightfully) and I don’t think there has been any change made to it.

True, but that one is like, I don’t know, an “option.” Even tho getting it in-game is…horrid, at least that wasn’t unchanged

With this, it’s just BAD. Like WHY. This update was going to be PERFECT, but he just changed it all with this dumb change. It doesn’t even make sense except for enemy towers. JUST MAKE IT FOR THEM. HELLO!?!?
