plus, I turned 18 so I can’t go to my pediatrician anymore and my parents would very much like another excuse to call me a waste of money and a mistake lol

you are coughing up blood one does not simply do that

I’ll be considering the worst if you suddenly disappear after a week

This shouldn’t be your thought process in this situation. You are clearly medically in shambles so should therefore see a doctor no matter what your jackass parents say

yes.

I am therefore using class home solutions - tea and honey, rest, sweating it out, and its working. It just takes longer for me to recover from me being born too early.

Don’t worry, people. I’ll be fine in a few days.

Fair enough then, I have confidence in you

this is so screwed up I don’t get how anybody can just be alright with this :sob: and I’m seriously amazed every time I’m reminded of it.

you don’t necessarily have to move to an adult doctor at 18, it’s dependent on a few factors but chances are you can still go to a pediatrician

The problem is, many Americans are of the mindset that widespread insurance is an acceptable part of capitalism, when such firms basically play ping-pong between other companies with the consumer as the ball. It’s not acceptable. And while people are starting to realize that, we can’t do much about it. Healthcare without insurance is stupid expensive.

Also, the populace of the country as a whole is unhealthy. Much of our food is of a lower grade, to the point where some American food companies straight up cannot sell in Europe because they fail the nutrition regulations. We’re the most overweight nation on earth; something really bad because obesity amplifies virtually all health risks by an obscene degree. And we’re not even getting into the mental health crisis of the nation. All of this, in the eyes of insurance firms and private hospitals, is something to profit from, instead of a problem to fix.

Basically, we’re being screwed on all sides.

Oh, and then we elect a certain somebody to office who isn’t going to do jack squat about the situation, and will almost certainly make it worse.  :yum:
