Anyway Loki and also everyone else who cares great news I haven’t gained the confidence to talk to my parents about getting an ADHD diagnosis BUT I have been comfort-talking with all my friends and doing intense research (adderall is illegal in the uk so ill settle for ritalin (this is a joke, i only really want a diagnosis just yet)) and im more comfortable bringing up the topic with parents now!
Never thought there’d be someone I could actually relate to.
Trust me, it’s more infuriating when your formative years are basically spent prepping for anyone else’s outbursts. I couldn’t even ask questions at school without risking getting yelled at. You’d figure that, after I grew up to be a guy who’s constantly pissed off, I’d be allowed to make my anger known too, but nope; now everyone’s playing the helpless victim when I do that.
Do you ever feel like the universe itself is going out of its way to make sure you get the Bad Ending? That’s how I feel all the time. Now I wonder, was everybody always pissy when you were a little kid, too?
But all jokes aside, my secondary school life has been hell so far, aside from my newfound and absolutely mythical friend group who have actually made it worth living. There’s actually a song I highly recommend that perfectly sums up that kind of experience (Arms of Gold by Tape Machines).
The fact that you don’t have any friends IRL makes that tougher, and I do feel for you, @Zormego . Hope life goes a bit better for ya
Machine Herald arc means no doctor (its just a sinus infection, and me being born too early makes it hit a lot harder, so just means I’m resting more than most would.)
