Loadouts, or the option to save presets of equipment and to switch between them has been a QOL feature present in numerous MMOs, including but not limited to FF14, Albion Online and various others. This allows players to change their gear and/or appearance at the ease of a simple menu rather than manually switching each piece of gear by hand.
Reason to add/change
Despite gamepasses available in Arcane Odyssey existing only as cosmetic or non-gameplay impactful purchases, loadouts as a whole is way to influential as a feature to be locked behind a robux purchase. For a player to switch between equipped gear, they’d have to scroll through their entire inventory to find the pieces they’re looking for, and without a bookmark/favorite function in the game, this can become annoying especially if the pieces of gear are not easily searched via filters, since basic dresses and shirts are not likely to fall to the top or the bottom of the inventory.
The ability of loadouts can be very useful for basic gameplay usage as well, since players can switch to agility loadouts for traversing or their main combat loadouts with ease, whether in or out of battle. Personally I do view this as a slight unfair advantage, but this can definitely be debated. Even out of combat means, it’s still a impactful QOL feature that will benefit most if not all players.
So as a proposal, I would like loadouts to be available to all players for free, and the current gamepass to be reformed into a “purchase more slots” option, similar to that of extra cosmetics.
id be down for 2 free slots but 8 slots total with the gamepass.
2 slots is enough to fit most situations regarding stat loadouts and gives players a taste or the system, but still encourages them to get the gamepass for enough slots for at least 3 stat loadouts or vanity loadouts
also having more slots for the gamepass would definitely help with vanity slots, as currently youd only have 3 slots if you make a vanity set for each stat build
Maybe just limit it to one loadout only if you havent paid for the gamepass but yeah It is sort of a p2w just slightly since you can change loadouts from warding set to agility set and yada yada.
ive had this argument before but i cant see any benefit to a single loadout slot except to see that the feature does work, or as a cancel all recent changes button

Could work as if you use your only loadout the armor set your currently using will replace that loadout and vice versa.
Would work too on any other loadout if you bought the gamepass. Why one? maybe it’ll incentivize people to buy the gamepass for more convenience lol.
yes but this allows you to “preview” the full feature before going 100% and buying it
so you can get a feel for it. and you can ask yourself “is this something I really need”
mabey if you wanted to you could make it so you have to buy your first 2 slots with galeons so you still have to work for them if you want to get used to them
I agree with Waping; give every player two new free slots and have the already-existing paid slots still available for eight total. I’m not planning on buying loadouts anytime soon, because I’m only ever in situations that call for one of two sets (either fighting with my primary build, or traveling to farm stuff), and odds are I won’t change too much about any of my files’ appearances.
