So sorry if this is the wrong way to make posts. This forum is so confusing imo. Anywho, my name is Zee and I am a choral singer! Ever since full release came out I’ve been super obsessed with the OST (especially “Widow Of The Waves”) and thought it’d be really beautiful as a ballad. I got permission from Senterea to make this, so now I am in the production process and I’d like feedback from the community!
Comments about the image provided (which is what I have so far): The structure of the lyrics is inspired by some comments I saw a few people making on the YT video for the song, and I thought it’d be a nice ode to the community to do that. I also really like alliteration and the use of repeating words to add emphasis, hence some words being repeated. The structure of how I wrote them in the doc is to resemble the rhythm of the instrumentals.
If anyone happens to find my post I’d love to know what y’all think

It’s probably fine, writing lyrics is still a writing thing.
I think it would be a good idea if you replace the “why could I not save my lover” part mostly because we don’t exactly know how the guy died so it might be better to keep the idea vague.

That’s really helpful; thank you! I added that part because of the title of the song, but I have not played through her questline yet so I am not fully caught up on the lore. I went off of things I saw on the wiki, the YT comments section, and other forums posts theorizing she was a queen of a kingdom and her whole family passed (including a prince she was going to mention?). If you have more lore bits I’d love to hear them! : D
Her questline doesn’t give much other then the exact same theory people have which is just that she might have been a royal of some kingdom. (the game itself just calls it a theory cuz it’s a npc’s guess)
She does talk about wanting to be left alone when you approach her and I THINK she also says a line like “you will perish just like the others” but NOT SURE.
