I got a bunch of gems, but please explain how jewel crafting works.

You take a gem, place it in the crafter, then take 5 reagents and put them in, then craft.
The gem determines the main stat (scales with crafting level), and the reagent determines the substat (randomized values). Tier 2 reagents will get a higher bracket of randomization (ex: t1 swim speed is 1-5%, t2 swim speed is 6-10%)
