Jack Reinger is a twenty eight year old black market dealer that was raised on Makrinaos Island. An assassin adopted him at the age of three after deleting his father for a contract in the Thorne Empire. Jack's father was a cruel man, thus Jack gladly took the last name of his new father, Marco Reigner, and learned his trade secrets while growing up. However, Jack was always captivated by the archeological marvel that was Makrinaos, and as a magic user, magic itself was beyond intriguing. Thus Jack sought knowledge of the world from the times of Ancient Magic instead of joining the Syndicate. He chose to dedicate his life to exploring the world of Ancient Magic in hopes of shining a better light on the nature of magic, using his connections in the criminal world to fund his exploits.
Jack finds, buys, and sells artifacts and powerful relics from the times of ancient magic. However, during a deal with the Dragon Fist Pirates in the Ryujin Dynasty, Captain Orichi suddenly tried to kidnap Jack. But thanks to Jack's training as an assassin, he narrowly managed to escape the Chimera Sea and fled to the Bronze Sea. But now, Jack not only has a bounty from the Navy, but also a massive contract commissioned to the Assassin Syndicate for his capture by the Dragon Fist Pirates. Despite this, Jack expanded his operations to dealing weapons and illegal goods, and has massed a small discreet criminal organization to protect his interests in archeology. He has maintained his personal connections in the Syndicate to avoid capture and keep his goons hidden while they transport illegal goods. But as of late, Jack has discovered hints of a unique bloodline from the ruins dating back to the Age of Gods and has redirected his research to finding and protecting this bloodline, believing they are the key to a breakthrough in his research on Magic.
Jack is a lightning warlock specializing in the sailor fist fighting style. He uses his lightning magic to power flashlights and lanterns he had bought from a recluse inventor from an unknown province. His salt water delirium often leaves him lost in the ancient ruins he dives into, but always leads him to their most hidden secrets. However, his personal body guards always make sure to keep him on a leash to make sure he doesn't get himself killed. When Jack engages in bottle, he always makes sure to let out a loud belch as a battle cry after drinking salt water.
Though he is a criminal, Jack is kind by nature and helps people in need wherever he goes. However, he still runs a short fuse and hates authority, and thus has occasional clashes with the Navy. Currently, Jack is looking to make deals with explorers and nobility for any and all documents from the archives of kingdoms in hopes of learning the secret history of the nations of the Waring Seas. However, he often rejects modern day documents on the Thorne Empire and kills the other person if the documents detailed him in any way.
I don’t know why copy and pasting the backstory makea it look like that.
