Looking for Quality of Life Suggestions POST HERE (Turning them into the new DEVS)

Remove dark sealed chests from the conquest task and make it give greatly increased reagents or something other buff.

I personally really enjoy dark sea running for chests, but the existence of the conquest tasks make it pointless. (Seriously I have already at least 100 copies of every individual dark sealed chest drop)

since we can now climb while holding stuff could we also get shiftlock and possibly dodge reflex as well?

also a few ideas that i desperately want in AO (enough to the point that id be willing to have a full on debate with vetex on why they should be added and why his potential opposition to them is harmful to the game’s experience)

Account-Wide Fleets (I know this got vetoed, I do NOT care, even members of his staff have been begging for this)

Fleets are annoying to progress, take a while, and a lot of resources. Due to this, most people opt to only do a fleet on their main file, and do nothing for their other files. If fleets were synced once you finish Edward Kenton’s quest, that solves the issue of players actively choosing not to engage with the system because if they do engage with it, it’ll benefit them rather than just their file.

Account-Wide Professions

Same reason as the past one, except for this not even my main file is completely finished with some of these professions, specifically the fishing and bounty hunting ones. The fishing one im just too lazy since fishing is boring (please rework minigame to be either stardew valley or fisch) but bounty hunting requires you to get like FIVE MILLION renown worth of exp. Like what were they thinking? Not to mention that Profession EXP is REDUCED the more professions you have maxed.. Why???

Other Account-Wide Features

Athena’s Knowledge (acquired upon entering the dark sea for the first time on that file)

Dragonblood Blessing (acquired upon doing your first ritual)

Bestiary (acquired on first animal kill)

Other Logbooks (acquired on first interaction with said logbook)

Titles unrelating to renown (acquired instantly upon file creation)

AO is so incredibly punishing to those who want to play on multiple files at once, which is really bad considering you have to PAY to do so, meaning alts to bypass said character limit are more viable than buying a new file since the only thing a new file has connected to the account is the bank.

I feel like much of this stuff should still be level-locked to a degree, only maxing out at the max level.

like what?

i believe currently only fleets should be level locked since they’re the only feature locked behind levels out of this list (which is why i locked them to level 150, since i stated you need to do the fleet quest for them to sync)

I’d be fine with the Athena Pages one, as long as there we a little extra step on reaching the statue. But the Logbooks and Fleets definitely should be account wide.

Professions too, they’re fr too grindy for anybody to willingly do on more than one file, and it wastes a ton of resources.

Very inconsequential thing but renaming the Thrusting weapon type to Piercing or Piercing Bladed would be nice! Just sounds a lot better X)
And thrusting with the weapon could only result in a piercing strike anyway, so it’s functionally synonymous

if only Vetex played his own game…

ye in my original QoL thread it was only pages, not including athena buff

Professions, db blessings, titles[1]

  1. max lvl only ā†©ļøŽ

it’d be nice if there were more boss armors that could have their color changes. For the most part only the early bosses are customizable such as Elius, Lady Carina, and… oh shit I think that’s it :skull:. As for minibosses the only ones that are customizable to my knowledge are The Crone and the greatbow dude. Also, it’d be great if we could paint metal armors (maybe another version of Deluxe Armor?) so that we aren’t locked to just arcanium since that is quite restrictive.

max level as in current max level or it’ll always change once the level cap increases? because im going to have to disagree with you if you mean the latter

especially since titles are purely cosmetic

I would really like it if the bounty hunting profession was possible to max (without grinding for 100 hours) in a pve way, altho idk if this counts as a qol suggestion. maybe just buff the xp gained from hunting bosses/rivals. i know the profession is primarily for pvp but this looks sad : (

  • doing the math with a /2 debuff from having all other professions completed and killing a rival every 5 minutes (which is incredibly unrealistic) it would take ~70 hours straight of grinding rivals

Relative to total max level. I don’t have to explain why ā€œSlayer of ancient dragonsā€ is more fitting of a level 600 player than a level 20 player at Frostmill, or why a lvl 60 player at Sailor’s lodge shouldn’t be titled ā€œChimera sea abolitionistā€.
Stuff like specific sea titles should be granted after reaching the sea’s rough level, while certain achievement bages, like dragon ones, after reaching the estimated level for their obtainment.

I maxxed Bounty Hunting with PvE only but it took ages and I only worked on it during 2x exp events
I think at the very least the gain should be doubled

ah that makes much more sense, i think thats fine as long as its gradual and you dont have to go out of your way to get it

I, for one, think it is stupid to not have titles save across files because titles should reflect what I as the player accomplished, not my individual character

Critical failure

Too late I saw that

Anyways, it’s not that they don’t save across them, it’s that you just can’t use them until the time they should become relevant. It’s kinda spoilers if a noob at Redwake sees another lvl 10 player running around except they can cook way better meals and have more health due to having killed a dragon god.

I have committed stupid

And will eternally be humiliated for it
