Mainly a joke comparing Chaos to Azathoth, the outer god of all reality in Howard Phillips Lovecraft’s Cthulu mythos.
Creating your own mythos is literally leagues easier than accounting and condensing several millenia worth of storytelling of a pantheon consisting of thousands of different figures, creatures etc.

Given that the War Seas is much more magically advanced and has a ton more curses than the Seven Seas, it’s probably just down to the Grand Navy having larger numbers of powerful figures and overall manpower, which would trump the AGs technology.
(They may also just have more members in general, or more members capable of using magic.)
Atp, we’re getting a book’s worth of lore from the Google Doc and Vet’s Discord responses rather than what’s actually in-game.

the AG also scaled to clapping Durza so… yeah no Vetex is just overhyping his cringe AG ripoff
(though this lore in the doc might be outdated, we’ve never been told the EXACT curse users outside of Valencia, sub the illusive shadow government thing that actually runs the AG)
At least with Deepwoken, players understand that the lore is intentionally cryptic and vague and that’s how it’s meant to be told. With AO, the cryptic and vague nature of the lore often feels unintentional, stemming from spoilers for story parts we likely won’t see for months or content that isn’t in the game because it was added as an afterthought.
I wish the two were more connected. 
Copy-pasting the lore doc into a book is NOT compelling or interesting.
I mean, the war seas has people like Warren and Wotan who could basically give Theos a even 1v1, so given that the GN are a actual prominent force in the war seas (and are supposedly winning a war against like a union of 6 massive pirate crews?) I’d say their more than capable of taking on Durza in the same way the AG was
