we don’t know that so probably not
we kinda do, the storyteller at blackreach talks about him but doesnt mention his name
Ik azarel refers to freedrock (and also torren, or someone like him), though I think he’s just extremely lucky to have been revived by the blessing as he continuously dies
yeah its a chance to revive the user every time they die and they come back stronger, but the more they die the lower the chance they resurrect is
so one of these days freedock will die his last time, also azarel says he’s already perished, so thats interesting
though caesar is pretty much braindead despite being revived so im not sure bout this theory
if it turns out to be true itd be kinda cool though cause we finally have a boss that actually can respawn lore wise
Not sure what you exactly mean here, but I read that as Freedrock having perished at least once already before we talk to Azarel
he mentions that freedrock dies but never fully, but then later says something along the lines of “he finally perished in a battle so grand it even caught the eyes of the queen of olympus” or something
true
That’s his FIRST death, not his LAST death. Azarel after talking about his death immediately goes on to mention that there is a myth that he is still around, searching for his rival.
The implication being that Hera was the one who gave him the Lazarus blessing in the first place.
I think I remember vetex saying that pretty much all religions believing in other gods kinda just disappeared after humans were given magic, since the greek gods basically revealed themselves to humanity at that point so it would be pretty dumb to believe in anything else
Also if Jesus DID exist he would have probably just been a regular dude or a false prophet
The attention to detail Vetex gave this story to make it seem like a true folk tale is incredible, it’s even chronologically incomprehensible
uh no? look how he phrases it
”the eternal man” implying he has already had the blessing
”some say he was blessed” past tense implying hes dead
and it wouldnt make sense for it to be a myth he’s still alive if earlier he was stating that it was well known that he defended the kingdom for decades, clearly he’s implying freedrock died in that battle and may of went into hiding hence the myth
??? Azarel quite literally says right there “the myth goes that he roams the world to this day”
The “some say he was blessed, others cursed” part refers to what power he was gifted by Hera at that moment.
Azarel isn’t even sure if most of his story his true. He literally just goes off of rumors and myths here,
so:
he had a grand, final stand, that caught the attention of a goddess.
THEN, some say he was blessed/cursed, and that he’s still alive, fighting Torren, evil, and carrying on the dreams of his Queen.
Wasn’t torren retconned?
Retcon got retconned
Probably as an individual character, there’s the Kingslayer in his place.
Also I swear it was stated at one point by someone high up (maybe tech) where they referred to the Kingslayer as “she”… dunno if it’s really real but I need to know.
Oh yeah, the kingslayer is mentioned, just not torren and his curse
the emphasis is on was, past tense, referring to how people say his entire life was blessed/curse insinuating he is dead now
you can’t just add a word that wasn’t in the original text to change the entire meaning and prove your point
