if you use them too much. the general rule with magic is that you only use it to cause problems unless you write it like a science that has proper limitations, or else using it kind of sounds cheap. ao magic is this vague force that permeates literally everything, and it has absolutely no limitations that we understand right now (nor is there a major difference between magic and spirit), so every time something gets resolved using it it doesn’t feel particularly special
game of thrones is pretty much entirely soft magic, but every time someone uses magic in game of thrones something bad happens
Ancient magic should straight up be rewritten as an actual magic, fym there’s a magic that’s literally just lightning, but red, old (whatever that means) and probably with boosted stats
of course, i only said it because dukeshade said spirit didn’t have any healing properties.
yeah but the only limitation is the element of said magic, and even if you can learn more, it takes time and it becomes harder with each magic you learn, and you certainly won’t live to learn all of them, at which point it’s more affordable to find a Sea Curse, in such case magics become practically useless.

Well it was used by a minor story boss planned for Arcane Adventures, then it continued to be on various canon lists of ancient magics, and it’s never been disconfirmed.
Healing magic on the other hand seems to be, though canon, not a magic element. You might be thinking of that.
whats the difference between life and growth then
healing got retconned or implied to not be a thing since vetex was asked about it and he didn’t know what it was, lunar has some affinity to healing, but I think life is legitimate something like plant life and thus the growth curse
like how the curse for water is called tide curse
Well, life hasn’t ever been seen in action, but we believe it to be green. Growth is based around growing plants.
I think it’s possible that they’re somehow the same, but we don’t know.
