experimental curses renamed to blessings
freedrock isnt immortal?
He dies and comes back iirc which isn’t immortality
why isnt he all wrinkly like a raisin though
Magic.
maybe he reverts back to his prime age whenever he dies
experimental curse (still prolly gonna call them that since im used to it) users still get prolonged life spans iirc
So let me get this straight, Freedrock, someone who cannot use magic and relies on weaponry and his fighting style… is one of the strongest people in the AU just because of the amount of magic energy he has.
I know the Lazarus blessing gives him an ungodly boost to his power whenever he revives, but like, doesn’t this mean the only thing stopping non-magic users from reaching beyond the top 15 is the fact that they don’t have enough time to accumulate enough magic energy.
Theos would solo
my initial reaction was disappointment with another retcon but honestly I kinda vibe with the change, especially with the naming scheme
guess Durza has a blessing now, which is ironic cause in his hands it’s been more of a curse on the world than any actual curse
Accurate
Also, if they don’t give immortality then how did he stay alive for so long? He was at least in his 50s at the time of the Fracture, and he doesn’t have any magic, so that’s already pretty old for the time he lives in. Presumably he doesn’t become a spirit until a few more years after that, so how the hell is he still alive?
@StockSounds this is about elysium fire
With the absorption blessing
I’m pretty sure he just gains immortality anyways cause he might have absorbed a curse?
and since magic itself can allow one to extend the users life the magics absorbed could have also done that
idk really, I’m not that big on the lore
He probably became immortal after absorbing his first curse
WHERE IS TORREN? WHERE IS HE?!
(complete sentence)
Thanks to (edit: not so) recent lore revisions, it’s heavily implied he used spirit energy
I have connected the dots.
Its a good retcon overall since it actually makes sense. Experimentals were directly gifted to chosen champions by the gods, so regardless of their future consequences, when they were first created they would be seen as blessings by the people.
In contrast, Elemental Curses, which were created out of the destruction of the gods would of course be seen as Curses. They are the literal symbol of blasphemy and defiance against the Gods. Not to mention that whole “Outliving your loved ones” thing.
so each resurrection just increases the amount of “vitality” Freedrock has???
Wouldn’t that imply each resurrection makes him more immortal?
