They’re naturally magic, but not so that they automatically get access to magic circles, same goes for humans.
Probably Hecate, as far as I’m aware there’s nothing saying that they didn’t have it before humanity. Would make sense since mythological creatures probably had a closer relationship to the gods. They might mostly only have light, shadow, and wind not cause of a metaphor from Vetex(though that might be part of it), but rather because those are the only 3 she granted them. Kinda like how Prometheus only granted humanity the original 7 base magics.

I only noticed recently, but there’s actually a spot right up against the very top middle of the Pelion Rift that counts as part of the Dark Sea. I can only imagine that’s there because it’s where Morden got the Death Curse, because it’s otherwise a perfect rectangle if I’m not mistaken.
