This makes no sense vetex, the lore doc says that the world looked exactly like ours before the blast, so with all of these islands and people that speak different toungues, you don’t think over hundreds of years everyone’s cultures would merge and they would speak creole of ancient versions of modern real life languages like ancient greek, egyptian, old frankish, latin, old spanish, old english, scottish gaelic and what not? Also, this means everyone in the bronze sea is mixed.

You can’t just get rid of a language because you have magic, especially on a planetary level, like what? Hell, english is all over the world, and America is one of the most advanced countries. This doesn’t mean these languages disappeared. Most likely they mixed into creole with a large amount being greek (anywhere from 30-50%)
he literally said that some other languages would exist but they’d be sligtly different which makes sense with the prevalance of greek influence on language
what im saying is that because the greeks had the power of magic they become more important and their langauge affects the development of others to a greater degree and becomes more focused on

My headcanon is that if the syndicate has any curses, they value experimental curses over elemental ones, as they want to maintain their secretive identity at all costs
